A taste of fall!

Good Evening my lovely ladies!

I first have to say hi to a few people that have left comments that aren't my regular fans.

Hi there Lisa Carol and Katie!
Katie I know where you popped in from but Lisa Carol is a mind stumper since she asked me a question in my comments but I had no way but via my blog to respond. So Lisa Carol.. reveal yourself honey.. if you have a blog let us know! We love to blog hop to new places!

As for the rest of you.. SMOOCH!!!

Ok on to my real post. My sister person and I are both very strong advocates of fall. She tries to save Thanksgiving every year from being over taken by Christmas. I relish in Halloween myself.. are any of you surprised?? Either way fall is a favorite time of year for both of us. I think she always looks so radiant in the fall, I think it has to do with her tones, she is a very beautiful woman and it is something about the fall colors that just make her pop.

Another thing I just adore about fall, Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks! Oh not to mention the pumpkin cream cheese muffins they have. I can actually SEE my ass get bigger as I am walking out the store but dear god those things are to DIE for. The good thing is that the closest Starbucks to me is an hour away. However, there is a substitute, International Coffees has a Pumpkin Pie coffee cream in the diary section and I must say it runs a very close second. To me it is just the perfect thing on those brisk fall mornings or cool fall evenings. I made a cup tonight and walked out on the deck to enjoy the air and the pumpkin. I was in heaven.

The one bad thing about fall on the water is nothing changes. We don't have the beautiful color changes of the trees, we many have Pine Trees around these parts so leaves of fall color is not something I get to enjoy unless I take a trip west, which I never do by the way.

Oh and apparently my blog is boring.... no pictures.

I hate my camera, so I don't take many pictures anymore.

SMOOCHIES!!!

  1. Pumpkin cream cheese muffins! Yum, we just got our first Starbucks which is in Kentucky. I'm not a coffee drinker but I could do with a muffin. I think I will write my own kids book, "if you give Ann Marie a Muffin, she is going to want to have a latte."

  2. Me too! Lovin' fall the best, and pumpkin cream cheese muffins, and Halloween and Thanksgiving. All of it--love it! Oh, and apples! Love the fall apples. And MN is gorgeous in the fall, usually. This year may be a bit less spectacular because of the drought we experienced, but STILL beauteuous! And just so you know, your blog is NOT boring, even if there are no pix :). Lotsa BIG SMOOCHIES to you and HUGS too!

  3. :) Glad to be here too!

Fall is by far my favorite season. I've never really lived anywhere it really existed (I'm from the land of 2 season), but the food is so so much better in fall anyway.

And by the way, it IS a Mac, which I love with all my heart and soul, but which needs a new hard drive, battery and power cord (not cool).

  4. I'm SO ready for fall!

    Now for a zillion thanks:
~Thanks for making me laugh with the joke you left me! I truly lol'd! :)
~Thanks for the calamine painting idea! Way too cute.
~Thanks for making me drool on my keyboard. I pink puffy heart those muffins. Linus loves their pumpkin cookies. And no, I'm not above bribing my kid with them. Too bad they don't have them all year!
~Thanks for the International Coffees cream idea. I usually just flavor mine with Bailey's or Kahlua. Just kidding. Sort of. :)

  5. One a week. That's it and that's all. No more. ONE single pumpkin spice latte per week. Can I do it? I am not sure. I'm going to try. So far, so good but it's only been 2 weeks.

Whose that sister person who flows in the fall? She might want to see a doctor.

Lisa Carol? Isn't that the name of two nemisis in high school?

  6. I love the autumn too. It's my favourite time of year. You still get the sunny dry days and the nights are cooler for better sleeping. I can't stand heat and humidity. Wish there was a starbucks here, those pumpkin delights sound delish!

  7. Okay, do you have any idea how many smoochies I'd like to bestow upon you right now? Many. How is it that some people just know exactly what to say and when to say it. That would be you. Oh my gosh...if "our group" (which, by the way, I just love) lived close enough for get-togethers? WHOA! Hilarity would ensue. And happiness and fun. Starbucks' stock would go through the roof, the local liquor store owners would be smiling and we'd all probably weigh about 800 lbs. And fun. Did I mention fun. Anyway, just wanted you to know that once again, you had the right words and were generous enough to share them.

  8. Ann Marie, we are getting lonely for an update. I did one to get rid of the skillet, and I did it while SH was still in that position in my car....while I could have been there making rude remarks.

  9. Love Fall & Halloween, too. Oh, and let's not overlook Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale and all the Oktoberfest beers that come out around now.

  13. Missing ya, Anna Maria. Will the promise of several smoochies bring you out of the woodwork?

Seriously, "someone" really does need to go read Monkling's blog for yesterday. "Someone" will be really happy if they do!
